I was a big priority of mine to connect with the local fashion community after moving back, and I have not been wasting any time. On Saturday I attended the launch party for Bella Magari x Never Skip Brunch – a collab boutique owned by Cara and Danielle, two Colorado bloggers.
The photos used in this blog post were taken by Malwine Studios!
When Cara of Never Skip Brunch reached out to me on Insta to invite me to attend the launch party, I knew it would be a fun way to meet people – and do a little shopping at the same time!
This cute collab boutique is located in The District Shops at Cherry Creek – an amazing two story space filled with indie and local designers. I am going to do a whole post about The District Shops, so all I will say now is that it’s one of the most unique and innovative shopping experiences I’ve come across. If you want a huge selection of local and artisan goods, this is the place to go!
Both Cara and Danielle have been running their boutiques individually online – and they decided to bring them together under one roof for a one stop shopping destination for curated home goods and on trend, affordable fashions. You all know I love shopping local, women in business, and cute finds!
Danielle started Bella Magari as an online shop with her husband to provide cute styles at reasonable prices. As a young mom who wanted to stay home with her baby and also remain cute, opening a boutique seemed like a perfect fit! She stocks the shop with pretty, effortless clothing and accessories that are affordable for any girl.
Cara’s shop is an extension of her blog, Never Skip Brunch – a inspirational home, diy decor and style destination for women who want to surround themselves with beauty and creativity. (Ummm… me!) She curates the shop with beautiful and functional home goods, and stylish clothes and accessories.
The launch party was a lot of fun! I love hanging out with cute women and peeping everyone’s style. True story – I was super late! My sister and I went to the Dior show earlier in the day at the Denver Art Museum, and then I had to drive home to Louisville (45 minutes away) and do some errands. Not only that, but I cracked off one of my acrylic nails the day before and I had to swing by the salon to get it fixed because who goes to a blogger party with a broken nail??? As it turns out, my nails were getting damaged under my acrylics so we ended up taking them off and doing a gel manicure – which took way longer than I expected. So I left the salon in Louisville and then had to drive ALL the way to Cherry Creek. Luckily, the party was just getting underway when I arrived. Whew! I hate being late to anything!
It was totally worth it, however – the event was so cute. The space was decorated in a very Pinterest-worthy style, with a photo wall, big balloons, and delicious snacks – like these gorgeous cake pops by Astonishing Cakes!
I got to meet some really cool ladies – I don’t know any other bloggers in my friend group, so it was really fun to talk shop and find out about their blogs! I met this fabulous woman Adeea (AKA @TrendySocialite on the Gram.) She was wearing the coolest outfit and I was like … that girl is amazing. Her blog is My Branded Style and she runs a podcast! We are going to get together and do a photo day around the city – she moved here from North Carolina on her own last year so we are both looking for people to hang out with. 🙂
The Denver blogger community is very welcoming and everyone I met was so kind and fun to chat with. I’m excited to have a bunch of new blogs to read and people to follow on Instagram – and hopefully meet up with in real life again! I love hanging out with motivated, creative women.
Aside from making some cool connections, I love having a new go-to for cute updates to my wardrobe! I shop small and local whenever I can, and Bella Magari x Never Skip Brunch carries exactly my kind of jewelry at prices Jeff won’t object to. I love pieces that are fun but not too over the top, so I can wear them with everything and I don’t get tired of them after a season. I absolutely adore these gold tassel earrings I got – they come in forest green and white too!
And how cute are these little pineapple earrings? These will definitely get you in a summer mood!
These cool diamond hoop earrings are perfectly hipsterrific – these are going to be my new go-to earring for any outfit.
I’m waiting until Jeff comes back to visit before I do any home decor shopping, but when he comes in March I am going to take him down to The District Shops and we can get some cute accessories for our home. And I’ll probably pick up this cute and comfy blush top I was checking out – it’s a perfect spring top that’s easy to wear.
Despite my rocky start, I had a wonderful evening and I’m so happy that Cara and Danielle reached out to me!
I’ve got more local features planned – if you guys like this type of content, just drop me a comment down below!
Cheers – Rachel
